Kevin T. Hayakawa

Kevin is a 4th year Physics and Astrophysics double major at UC Berkeley. He currently does research with Professor Alex Filippenko actively searching for and conducting follow-up observations on supernovae—violent cosmic explosions that mark the end of stars' lives. He enjoys getting involved with both of his departments, having served as a UGSI for Astronomy C10 (Spring 2015) as well as graders for Astronomy C10 (Spring 2014) and Physics 137A (Summer 2015). In those rare moments when he is not doing physics, he can usually be found dancing with either AFX Dance or Danceworx. Shoot him an email if you have any questions about the Physics/Astrophysics major, the Berkeley Dance Community, or where the best boba places are in Berkeley.
